Trekking, in some ways, is the dream of many as for as travel lovers are concerned. Pakistan is a country where you can find very limited opportunity to trek, but these limited facilities for trekking are extremely famous in the world. Islamabad, for instant, is the capital city of Pakistan, where a lot of foreigners are living and many often visit to this city. Trails 1 to trail no 6, are the most famous for hiking and recommended in Islamabad; however, must be avoided at night due to safety concerns. Trekking although is a healthy activity, but as for as people don't often know: how to start trekking, how to cover distance, what to take along, and what all items be available with a trekker.

Every Trekker Must Have Items
- Every individual must carry First Aid Clinical kit during trekking i.e., requirement varies for each person. But, one must have re-hydration salt, first aid medicines, snake bite kit, and pain killers. Other medicines are subjected to personal need.
- Backpack which contains all your necessary items. Pack must be having items less in volume and low density.
- Fleece jacket with hood is recommended during cold weather.
- Gloves warm during winter and tactical gloves during summer.
- A thermal for moderate body temperature.
- Head torch with batteries always help you, as terrain will be not known to you.
- Boots must be bought according to the need, and must be having a good grip.
- For night stay sleeping bag is a must taken gear, -20°C for colder region and -5°C for normal cold region.
- Ladies or Men having sensitive skin must carry along sun protection cream.
- Sunglasses is a must gear, and recommended for trekking.
- Sun hat or Jungle hat for head, neck, and face protection.
- Warm hat for winter season.
- Warm jacket or a down suit for snowy day.
- At least two water bottles i.e., one liter each.
- Waterproof jacket is necessary in case of rain.
- Waterproof over-trousers for marshy places or rainy day.
- Self care and hygiene is very important, in case you got ill, your whole adventure will be vanishes, therefore take antibacterial hand wash with yourself always.
- Extra shirts or T-shirts are also required for trekking, to change your salty shirts daily.
- Small towel for use.
- Multiple pairs of socks, and to be changed daily.
- Undergarments to protect from rashes.
- Trekking sticks are important and are highly recommended.
- Wash-bag and toiletries for use.
- Stretchable trouser for easy walking.
- Crampons for hiking in area cover with ice.
- Mountaineering shoes with crampons. Min Grade B2 shoes.
- Ice axe for climbing a steep area.
- Climbing harness, basically for professional hikers, use to move on ascending or descending steep cover with snow by the help of rope and D rings.
- Climbing helmet for safetey.
- Sling that is basically climbing rope, 120 cms.
- Buff or a piece of cloth to cover face and nose from cold air.
- Small lock for safety of your luggage.
- A good quality DSLR camera, or you can use your phone as well.
- Insect repellant is a must in warm and marshy area.
- Repair kit for any emergency that will include thread, a needle, and a duct tape).
